Clostridium butyricum in the Field: Securing Gut Health at Weaning
Weaning is a difficult time for piglets. Supporting piglet gut health during this transition is crucial to ensure optimal growth performance. Weaning management is also linked with the occurrence of post-weaning diarrhoea (PWD) which is one of the most important factors negatively influencing the performance of young piglets. The impact of PWD can extend to later stages as well, and as such it is essential to make sure management measures to mitigate PWD are already in place from an early age.
